TS-659 Pro - 1 of 6 disks is of a different type

I am the owner of a QNAP TS-659 Pro, which I have been running with six disks the whole time. Unfortunately, one of them is a different model from the other five. Something of a "problem" to a perfectionist like myself. Is there any reason to believe this would significantly affect performance or response-times? By observing the status-lights, I can see that the deviant disk blinks differently from the rest. And yes, the deviant is a green-disk. I have read some places that those are not the best choice for a NAS. I used to have six equal disks. But one had some errors on it. So I did not dare to keep using it.

PS: You may very well post an answer in Swedish if you like. I just figured that more people would understand my English than my Norwegian.

Thanks for your reply! I do follow your logic regarding the CPU being the main bottle-neck in a RAID-configuration. But I was also thinking that response-time could be suffering more. In particular when waking up from power-save. But also in general use. Agree? If so, I might spend the extra bucks to get an equal replacement.

It's a desktop-disk, yes. I will most likely get a replacement Enterprise-disk on warranty. So I should probably use that. But i was also thinking of using that disk in a remote NAS for backup. Guess I'll be better of putting the desktop-disk in that one then. Thanks a lot for your advise!

Hej Mons
